Local Scholarships

These scholarships will come in at different times during the semester, so please come to the guidance office regularly to see what is available and to pick up an application. If there is a link, please feel free to download, complete and turn in to guidance by the due date. If there is no link, please come to guidance to pick up a paper copy.

2025 ABC North Alabama Merit Scholarship ~

Bill Holt Memorial Scholarship ~ Scholarship for students planning on majoring in education or communications ~ applications must be posted marked by the  ~ email or mail the application, information is on the scholarship application.

George Martin Scholarship ~ This application is for any full time student who plans to major in any field of communications: radio/television broadcasting, journalism, public relations, marketing, business, etc. The value of the scholarship is $1,000 and may be used to offset the cost of tuition and/or books. The money will be transferred to either the school or the student prior to registration at the beginning of the fall semester. ~

Jean Y. Bryan STEM Scholarship ~ Scholarship is a f inancial award of $1000 designed to support and encourage individuals pursuing studies and careers in STEM fields. ~ Please return this application to Mrs. Lambert in the Guidance Office by ~

John Jenkins Memorial Athletic Scholarship ~  ~ Must be mailed in and received by the   ~ NO EXCEPTIONS

Kiwanis International Scholarship - Deadline April 13, 2026 - turn in to GCHS for Guidance or email to tcox@avmedical.com. Student must be a high school senior and resident of Giles County have a 3.0 Cumulative High School GPA or above required and Scholarship only valid to students pursing a full time undergraduate degree or vocational/trade school certificate in the academic year of 2024-2025.

Mae Rose Quillen Memorial Scholarship - 

Minor Hill Alliance Scholarship Application ~  ~ $500 - Open to a graduating 2024 Senior who graduated from Minor Hill School. The student can attend Giles County or Richland High School.  Priority given to past Minor Hill Alliance event volunteers

Suzanne Sneed Lamon Memorial Scholarship - 

The Champions Way Scholarship -  - submit to Chris Phillips at Ccp2n@hotmail.com. After submitting the applicatin, text or call to confirm that it has been recieved. 931-638-2001 ~ 1 male and 1 female who is currently a senior basketball player. $500 scholarship paid directly to the student.

Trent Holt Memorial Scholarship - 

Tri Green Apprenticeship and Scholarship ~ 10 Scholarships awarded for 2024-2025 to qualifying graduates interest in a career as a Diesel Technician ~ Full scholarship includes: tuition, books, room and board and meal plan (up to $22,000)-   Apply Now

USARA Scholarship (US Army Ranger Association) ~ Ranger Minatra Scholarship ~  $1,000 Scholarship (Fundraiser to be held on March 1st at the American Legion) ~ The scholarship will be awarded to a student based on extracurricular activities, academic achievements, and a short essay, “What Do Army Rangers Mean to Me?” This scholarship can be used for any college, university, or vocational technical school. To receive the Ranger Minatra scholarship, applicants must complete this application, submit a copy of his or her transcript which includes cumulative GPA, and a letter of recommendation. The William Ernest McElroy Memorial Scholarship - Deadline April 6, 2026 - mail application to address on the scholarship form - The recipient must be pursuing an undergraduate degree or attending a Vocational or Trade School.
