Jeff Pugh

Coach Pugh enters his 29th season as a Head Football Coach and 31st year as a teacher. He has retired from Alabama where he taught and coached for 28 years. He now serves as the Head Football Coach at Bridgeforth Middle School and an assistant coach at Giles County High School in Pulaski Tennessee where he is currently an Alternative school teacher.  A graduate of Athens High School in 1980, Coach Pugh played football at Athens High School and after graduating played in college for Jacksonville State University.  He has taught Physical Education , Weight training, Health, Psychology and now is an Alternative School teacher for Giles County schools in Pulaski Tennessee. He graduated from Athens State College in 1995 and has been coaching for 32 years; 26 as a head coach. Coach Pugh led the East Limestone Indians to an undefeated season in 2014 and has advanced teams to the playoffs 17 times. He enters the 2024 season with 166 wins, Four region championships and four region runner-ups. He has sent 61 former players into the college ranks in his career as a Head Coach. He has also coached 29 players that were named to All-State teams, 19 of those were from East Limestone. Coach Pugh was named Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2014.
